Erik Brunetti and Robert Blanton reviewing and signing edition impressions at Brand X Editions, New York, 2025.
A series of limited silkscreen editions by Erik Brunetti, produced in collaboration with Brand X Editions, New York.
In 2025, Erik Brunetti initiated a series of silkscreen editions developed from Oval Parody, first exhibited in 2022 at Spazio Maiocchi, Milan. Produced in collaboration with Brand X Editions, New York, the editions extend the twelve-painting series into print form.
The first print in the series has been completed and released. Each subsequent edition will correspond to one of the original Oval Parody works and will be produced and released on a controlled, rolling basis.
Oval Parody, four-color silkscreen on Stonehenge paper. Signed and numbered edition.
Impressions are generated from the source material under supervised production, then signed and recorded individually within the Erik Brunetti Foundation for the Arts archive.
A separate release of three prints is based on ink drawings produced in the studio. These works are translated directly from the original drawings, retaining the density, speed, and irregularity of the mark.
Process documentation—captured during printing, inspection, and signing—establishes the conditions of production and supports the work’s provenance.

Works from Oval Parody are held in the Erik Brunetti Foundation for the Arts and in private collections.
Full technical specifications and edition details are documented in the Brand X Editions production sheets and retained within the Foundation archive.
ABOUT THE PRINTING PROCESS
Although the ink drawing editions may initially appear monochromatic, each work is produced using a multi-layer silkscreen process rather than a single black ink pass.
The original drawings contain a wide range of tonal density, atmospheric variation, surface texture, and accumulated mark-making that cannot be faithfully translated through conventional one-color screenprinting. In order to preserve the physical depth and tonal structure of the source works, the images are separated into multiple layers, each carrying distinct tonal information.
This layered approach allows for the reproduction of subtle gradations, edge transitions, and shifts in warmth and density that would otherwise collapse into flat contrast in a standard monochrome print. Areas perceived visually as black, grey, or white frequently contain numerous underlying tonal variations that require independent screen exposures and carefully calibrated ink application.
Rather than functioning as a straightforward photographic reproduction, each separation is constructed specifically to interpret the tonal architecture of the drawing through successive layers of hand-pulled silkscreen printing.
The resulting editions retain both the atmospheric complexity of the original ink works and the material presence unique to fine art screenprinting.
All editions are produced using archival materials and are individually inspected for registration fidelity and tonal consistency.
