Still Life with Fruit & Revolver (Study)

$850.00

Created during the development of Still Life with Fruit & Revolver (2025), this working drawing documents the evolution of Brunetti's compositional process prior to the completed painting. Executed in graphite and charcoal on vintage found paper, the drawing explores the spatial relationships between the bowl, revolver, and surrounding forms while recording revisions, tonal adjustments, and formal decisions made throughout the painting's development.

Rather than functioning solely as a preparatory sketch, the drawing preserves the artist's working process as an independent work. The layered surface records successive stages of observation, refinement, and material investigation, revealing how the final composition emerged through sustained revision.

Produced as part of Brunetti's ongoing studio practice, this work offers a direct record of the artist's decision-making process and the development of one of the principal paintings from the series. It is both a complete drawing in its own right and an important document of the painting's evolution.
